Literature
Ninth grade: A study of American Literature spanning from early American to modern day writers emphasizing a variety of writing styles.
Tenth grade: A study of World Literature including work from many nations. Selections compare cultures and trace developments in style and theme.
Eleventh grade: Classic British Literature and English examines the literary work of such authors as Chaucer, Dickens, Bronte, and includes modern day poetry and short stories. Emphasis is placed on writing, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar.
Twelfth grade: Offers College preparatory classes with a practical approach to literary analysis.
